Ramadan Day 10

Hey everyone! I'm back here again even though it's been two weeks or so since my last post. Currently in this month, us Muslims are observing the month of Ramadan where we fast and do our best to abstain from immoral or unhealthy habits. It has been challenging for me this year as this is my first Ramadan away from my home and family and I miss them so much. It's also my first Ramadan as a married woman and I'm currently residing at my in-laws together with my husband.
In Ramadan we start off with a pre-dawn meal typically known as sahur/suhoor and this is where we eat nutritious meals so that we can get through the day. This is also the period where we hydrate as much as we can before subuh/fajar commences. Now this is where I fail at. I have been skipping sahur for at least four days now and that is unhealthy. Yes I know I had a big meal the night before but that doesn't excuse the fact that I need to wake up to at least hydrate myself??? But no, my lazy sleeping ass keeps hitting the 'turn off' button on my alarm. I fall back to sleep again until the next day. Surprisingly, I don't feel hungry nor thirsty.
Alright, let's get back on track. It's been Day 10 and today I went for a job interview as my role in the current swab ops is ending pretty soon. I've been placed on one month's notice and it's been sad for me. I spent almost two years as a swabber helping the country fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Forged friendships and created many memories throughout and now I have to bid adieu. I'm pretty excited to venture into a new horizon as I make the switch to healthcare.
Okay, I'm pretty swamped now and my eyes are refusing to cooperate with the bedroom lighting here. Let's call it a night!
xx
